What we believe

SCRIPTURES

We believe that the Bible of the Old and New Testaments is the only inspired Word of God, is totally trustworthy, carries God’s full authority, and is the perfect guide for life, faith and practice.

GOD

We believe in one God in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He alone is worthy to be worshipped, obeyed and served, for He alone is God.

SIN

We believe that all human beings are created in God’s image to know Him and to belong to Him, but that by nature and behaviour we are all sinful and require our relationship with God to be restored.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus, equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit, became fully human by a miraculous conception and virgin birth and lived a faultless life. He died on a cross to satisfy divine justice and accomplish salvation for all who trust in Him alone. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven where He represents His own.

SALVATION

We believe that our relationship with God is restored only by the saving grace of God. It is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, acknowledging our sin, that we receive forgiveness and eternal life. We are not justified by works or by goodness.

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that God the Holy Spirit awakens us to our need of God, brings us to new life in Jesus Christ and then enables us to live lives that are holy and pleasing to God, equipping us to worship and serve God, and opening our minds to understand the Scriptures.

JESUS’ RETURN

We believe that Jesus will come again to earth, personally and visibly, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. He will return in power and great glory, to exercise His authority as Lord of all, and to judge everyone who has ever lived.

HUMAN DESTINY

We believe that death seals the eternal destiny for each person. All who have committed their lives to Jesus Christ, He will receive into His presence forever. Unbelievers will be separated from God forever.
