Mission of the Month – CSW

Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) is our Mission of the month for April. CSW is a campaigning human rights organisation which advocates for the right of freedom of religion for all. As a Christian organisation it stands with everyone facing injustice because of their religious beliefs, values and practices, The CSW vision is to promote a world free from religious persecution where everyone can practise the religion of their choice. To realise their objectives CSW uses a variety of strategies which can be accessed via the CSW website (www.csw.org.uk).

Currently CSW’s staff are operating in twenty five countries of concern, which include Pakistan, China, Nigeria, Eritrea, Sudan, Egypt, Iran, Cuba and Mexico and others. As an indicator of their growing influence and importance The CSW president Mervyn Thomas has recently been appointed to the role of Chair of UKFF ( the UK Freedom of Religion Forum ) which will host the Freedom of Religion Ministerial taking place on 5th – 6th July in the QE2 Centre in Westminster. Please pray for this exceptionally important occasion, for the ministry of CSW and for the staff who serve the Lord in this specialist way. CSW values prayer more than you can imagine so let’s keep praying throughout April for CSW.
